Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November of 1985 located in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's athletic talent was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first attempt she made, she was ranked second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for an official career at Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. A year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently within the top three in her various races during the Olympics held at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
