Zachary Galifianakis

 Zachary Knight Galifianakis Greek pronunciation born October 1 1969) is an American comedian, actor as well as a musician and writer. He also appeared on Comedy Central Presents and hosted Late World With Zach on VH1. Galifianakis has been a mainstay in numerous films including The Hangover Trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010). The Campaign (2012), Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance (2014) as well as Masterminds (2016). He voiced characters in animated films, including Puss in Boots (2011), The Lego Batman Movie (2017), Missing Link (2019), and Ron's Gone Gone Wrong (2021). Galifianakis currently hosts the Funny or Die website talk show Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. He was a part of the FX series Baskets and was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in a Comedy Series in 2017. Zachary Knight Galifianakis, a North Carolina native, was born October 1, 1969 in Wilkesboro. The actor is the child of Mary Frances (nee Cashion), and Harry Galifianakis, a heating oil retailer. His mother is English and Scottish-Irish, whereas his paternal grandparents hail from Crete. He was baptized into the father's Greek Orthodox faith. He is the younger brother of named Merritt and an older brother named Greg. The cousin of his Nick Galifianakis (Washington Post cartoonist) is his uncle. Galifianakis was a student at Wilkes Central High School. Then, he attended North Carolina State University and majored in communications. While at college, he worked at an access station for the public. He taught dance in the year 1991 when he got to know Mary J. Blige. After his television debut Boston Common, Galifianakis joined Saturday Night Live for two weeks. Galifianakis has said "I did work on Saturday Night Live for two weeks. Britney Spears was the host for a week while I was there. Wrote a sketch, Will Ferrell was act as a bodyguard to her belly button as we tried to shrink Will down so that she could fit in a belly button. When I explained the idea to them, she looked at me. Then she declared, "Yeah, that's funny." Galifianakis played in Out Cold and also had roles in Corky Romano and Below, Bubble Boy and Heartbreakers.
