Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African-American author, more famous as the ex-wife of the comedic legend and television host, Steve Harvey. She decided to keep her private life a secret and out of the public eye. Steve has never had the same fame and success that the one he is now, however they were married for 14 years ago. There have been rumors in Hollywood about the motives behind their separation. Some accuse Steve Harvey of cheating, and some blame him for choosing the field of comedy for his work. The tragic story of her life can be attributed to Steve's abandonment of her and her two daughters as she was pregnant with her third child. Despite her struggles she has managed to make an impressive career out of fashion design and writing. She is the writer of "Marcia's Eyes To The Soul, 'Marcia's Poems From The Heart, and Marcia's Thoughts From The Mind. Her children are influenced by her generosity and kindness. Marcia Harvey was born to an African-American family. They were not wealthy. She began her career in an outlet store known as "Saks Fifth Avenue". Steve came across her at a reception party to a mutual friend couple of years later. They became lovers and were married in the year 1980. The couple had twin girls in 1982, while Steve worked as an insurance salesperson. Steve was disillusioned at his job and made the decision to pursue a job in the field of entertainment. He wanted to become a stand-up comedian. This created a lot of friction between him and Marcia and later reports suggested they were about to break up by the year 1990. Marcia Harvey's fame stemmed in large part from her marriage to Steve Harvey, and their divorce. Although their divorce proceedings in 1994 were kept under wraps but it's evident that Marcia Harvey was pregnant with their third child when they broke up. Marcia was divorced in 1993. Marcia had to go to the courts following her divorce and Steve Harvey's rejection of payments for child support and alimony.
