Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her ability to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she placed second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. She set an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She consistently placed within the top three places of all events.
